The Cottage
Built in the 1830s, StoneHill is thick-walled and cosy, with thoughtful modern touches after a recent full refurbishment.
Sleeps 1–4 across two bedrooms: one double, plus a second that can be set up as a large double or as twin beds.
Comfortable living room with an open fireplace for slow evenings after a day on the coast or hills.
Well-equipped kitchen for relaxed cooking with local produce.
One bathroom plus a second loo for convenience.
TV and DVD player for film nights. There is no internet in the cottage, by design — cafés in Newport have reliable connections if you need them. It’s a true switch-off.
Surrounds
Newport sits at the mouth of the River Nevern and opens onto a glorious mile-long beach of flat sands backed by dunes. It’s perfect for swimming, windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. From the cottage you can step straight into the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park or head for the coastal path, one of the most dramatic walking routes in Britain. Maps are in the house to help you plan your days.
Dogs are welcome. Please keep them close around livestock and avoid bringing any confirmed livestock chasers.
StoneHill has been in the family for over forty years, and that long connection shows. There is friendly local support on hand if you need anything during your stay, from practical help to tips on where to walk, swim and eat. You’ll feel part of a place that genuinely cares.
